John K. Maloney is the principal attorney of the firm. He splits his time working out of the firm's Henderson, Nevada and Sacramento, California offices. John specializes in the area of gaming regulatory law and assists gaming clients in domestic and international markets. The work includes representation of gaming vendors, to include gaming manufactures and distributors in such markets. With more than 27 years in the gaming field, dating back to 1983, John K. Maloney is a pioneer in gaming law and regulation.

Maloney spent 8 years with the State of Nevada Gaming Control Board in the Investigations Division and 4 years with the Casino Control Division in Queensland, Australia. This work involved complex forensic accounting investigations of large multinational companies and interactions with law enforcement and regulatory bodies worldwide.  Maloney not only brings his remarkable skills as an experienced jurist to the table, but also his vast knowledge of international finance. Being world renowned, the evident result of his successful, distinctive, and proven talent coupled with decades of knowledge and know-how, Mr. Maloney has developed a worldwide network of contacts that have proved to be invaluable in serving our firm's clients. His understanding, experience, and expertise in the field of gaming law, regulation, and license enforcement are in great benefit to our clients - whether involved in equipment sales, tribal casinos, or applying for a casino gaming license.

Maloney is also a founding member of the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL) which is a non-profit association of gaming attorneys, regulators, educators, executives and consultants from around the world who are dedicated to education and the exchange of professional information concerning all aspects of gaming law.

Maloney is also listed in The Best Lawyers in America (Woodward/White, Inc.) in the Gaming Law Section and The Chambers Guide, which lists the top attorneys in 175 countries that determines ranks by independent research carried out during the prior 12 months. Maloney has also been recently been appointed as co-chair of the subcommittee of the American Bar Association’s International Gaming Law section.  John is an author and frequent speaker on many gaming law issues. John is a member of the California and Nevada State Bar Associations.
